Dr. Michael "Doc" Dawson acquired this farm in the late 1970s. Today his step-sons, Jonathan and Jay Nicols, carry it forward — and in 2026 we're bringing our first sweet corn crop to market.
The Farm
To grow the freshest, sweetest corn in Michigan — and to supply it to restaurants, distributors, and retail partners during our peak harvest season. Good food, grown well, by people who care.
We plant in successions from late April through mid-July so there's always corn at peak sweetness. We pick at dawn — when the sugars are highest — and cool every ear within the hour.
